The “Concert for Tomorrow” in Munich is over, but not our idea and desire to help the children in Bucha sustainably. Here we keep you up to date, which further actions take place and how your donations are used in Ukraine.
August 26, 2022 – Music Night for Ukraine in the Waldkirche Planegg
The music night in the Waldkirche in Planegg was a great success! Besides the youth choir and the cantonist, a violinist who fled from Ukraine also performed and enchanted the guests with the piece “Chaconne” by Johann Sebastian Bach. A total of 3535 euros was collected for the project in Bucha during the evening. In addition to this, the church congregation in Planegg would also like to donate musical instruments, sheet music and metronomes to the music school in Bucha.
21. Juli 2022 – Charity concert in Wiesbaden
It is wonderful to witness how the idea of the “Concert for Tomorrow” lives on even after the big kick-off in June and how committed people organize private, smaller concerts to collect donations for the project in Butscha.
This was also the case with former Lufthansa colleague Uwe Müller, who together with two friends celebrated their (combined) 150th birthday on July 8 in Wiesbaden with a small benefit concert for the Ukraine. The musical background was provided by the AVIN Trio, which entertained the evening with pieces by Haydn, Smetana and Brahms. In total, more than 4,100 Euros were donated to the music school in Butscha! Many thanks to Uwe Müller, the guests and the AVIN Trio for this special evening!
